Installation Warranty


Cardinal Distributors will warranty the installation portion of my carpet job for ONE YEAR. This means that any buckling, fraying of seams, and any other installation related defect will be fixed free of charge up to one year after the installation date. This warranty shall be voided under the following parameters; Flood or water damage, failure to replace existing padding at the time of install, dragging furniture, improper cleaning, or other end-user caused damage. Note, in order to ascertain the origin of the defect, an independent third party inspection may be necessary. Cardinal Distributors will warranty the installation portion of my hard surface job for ONE YEAR. This means that any buckling of wood or LVP products, bubbling of vinyl, or any other installation related defect will be fixed free of charge up to one year after the installation date. This warranty shall be voided under the following parameters; Flood or water damage, improper use of materials, dragging furniture, improper cleaning, or other end-user caused damage. Note, in order to ascertain the origin of the defect, an independent third party inspection may be necessary.
 

Customer Provided Measurements


Cardinal Distributors will ensure that enough flooring materials will be sent to the job however, the customer may be responsible for any additional flooring, labor, and travel fees that may be associated with the provided measurements not being accurate.
 

Furniture


If moving of furniture is paid for on the job, the flooring installers will move said furniture. If this is not priced into the job, and the installers have to move furniture in order to complete the job, the customer will be charged an additional $1 per square yard for the entirety of the job. Any job that is deemed to have an excessive amount of furniture may also incur an additional charge. The customer understands that the installers will neither disconnect, nor reconnect any electronic devices (i.e. computers, stereo equipment, television equipment, etc.). The installers only move furniture. This does not include any pictures, knickknacks, china, papers, clothes, etc. The customer understands that the installers will move the furniture at my own risk. Only in the event of installer negligence shall the installers be liable for repairs. Any damage caused to furniture as a result of being moved shall be the customer’s responsibility.
 

Power and Heat


The customer will ensure that the property will have both electricity and heat. Electricity is needed for certain installation tools, while heat is required in order to properly acclimate wood products as well as to properly stretch carpeting. Failure to have power and or heat, could result in a delay in installation as well as incur a trip charge of $75 or more depending on job site location.
 

Walls, Paint, Baseboards


The customer understands that installation of flooring may result in minor dings, dints, and scratches to walls, baseboard, or paint. The installers will be as careful as possible, but some minor damages may still occur. The customer understands that any of these occurrences will be their responsibility to fix and release Cardinal Distributors and its subcontracted installers from any and all liability when it comes to these occurrences.
 

Payment


The customer understands that the labor payment is due at the time of satisfactory completion of the job. Payment methods accepted are cash and credit card only. No checks.

I the undersigned acknowledge that I have read and understand all elements of the above agreement and agree to the parameters set forth within.
